Abstrak

Esai ini bertujuan menganalisis secara filosofis hegemoni institusional model Barat dalam dunia akademik dan implikasinya terhadap keadilan epistemik global. Melalui tinjauan literatur kritis, penelitian ini mengidentifikasi bagaimana fondasi epistemologis Barat yang berakar pada rasionalisme, objektivitas, dan universalisme telah mewarnai struktur lembaga pendidikan tingi modern, terutama melalui kolonialisme, positivisme, dan globalisasi pascakolonial. Model ini terinstitusionalisasi dalam kurikulum, metodologi penelitian, standar publikasi, serta mekanisme evaluasi akademik, yang pada gilirannya menghasilkan fenomena epistemicide dan homogenisasi intelektual. Dengan menggunakan kerangka teori dekolonial, artikel ini mengkaji bentuk-bentuk kekerasan epistemik dan bias universalistik yang menempatkan pengetahuan non-Barat sebagai inferior. Temuan penelitian ini menegaskan perlunya pluriversality sebagai paradigma alternatif untuk membangun institusi akademik yang lebih inklusif dan adil. Artikel ini mengusulkan arah dekolonisasi melalui reformasi kurikulum, pedagogi dekolonial, pembukaan ruang dialog antar-epistemik, serta kritik terhadap standar internasional yang bias. Studi ini berkontribusi pada upaya rekonstruksi epistemologis dan institusional, terutama dalam konteks akademik global yang masih berada di bawah bayang-bayang warisan kolonial.
