Author Guidelines

General Information
SITASI: Journal of Islamic Studies and Inclusive Education publishes original manuscripts based on empirical research, critical literature reviews, theoretical reflections, and innovative educational practices related to Islamic education. Manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration elsewhere.

Submission Process
Authors must submit their manuscripts through the Open Journal System (OJS) submission portal. Registration and login are required prior to submission. Please ensure all files are properly anonymized for the double-blind peer review process.

Manuscript Structure

  • Title: Clear, concise, and relevant to the content (maximum 15 words).
  • Abstract: 150–250 words, in English and Bahasa Indonesia, including purpose, method, results, and keywords (3–5 words).
  • Introduction: Include background, research questions, and objectives.
  • Method: Describe research design, data sources, instruments, and procedures.
  • Results and Discussion: Present findings and contextual analysis, supported by references.
  • Conclusion: Summarize key findings, implications, and suggestions for further research.
  • References: Use the Chicago Manual of Style, 18th Edition (Notes and Bibliography), minimum 15 references, 60% from the last 10 years.

Technical Requirements

  • Manuscripts should be 4,000–7,000 words (excluding references).
  • Use MS Word, A4 size, 1.15 spacing, 12 pt Times New Roman font, and 2.5 cm margins.
  • Use heading levels: 1st (Bold, UPPERCASE), 2nd (Bold), 3rd (Italic).

Language
Manuscripts may be submitted in Bahasa Indonesia or English. All abstracts must be bilingual. Language must be academic, clear, and free from grammatical errors.

Plagiarism and Ethics
All manuscripts will be checked for plagiarism using standard tools. The maximum acceptable similarity index is 20%. Authors must follow ethical publication standards as outlined by COPE.

Copyright and Licensing
Upon acceptance, authors retain copyright and agree to publish under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-SA 4.0).

Article Processing Charges (APC)
SITASI does not charge any submission or publication fees. It is fully open-access and free for both authors and readers.

  • This submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration.
  • All references have been checked for accuracy and completeness.
  • All tables and figures have been numbered and labeled.
  • Permission has been obtained to publish all photos, datasets and other material provided with this submission.
