Author Guidelines

GENERAL INFORMATION

  1. Manuscripts must be original, not previously published in any scientific journal, not under consideration elsewhere, and will not be submitted to any other media during the review process unless officially withdrawn from NeuroLingua. This must be stated in a Statement of Originality & Copyright Release (Form A). NeuroLingua uses Similarity Check powered by Turnitin to screen suspected plagiarism.
  2. Submitted manuscripts address research topics that do not conflict with bioethical standards.
  3. The journal is published 2 (two) times per year.

MANUSCRIPT FILE

  1. Manuscripts are written in English using standard academic style. Authors whose first language is not English are advised to use an English editing service prior to submission to NeuroLingua.
  2. Manuscripts should be prepared in Microsoft Word format; graphs may use Microsoft Excel, and figures should be in JPEG or PDF.
  3. Use Cambria, 11 pt.
  4. Length: approximately 9–15 pages, A4 size; margins: top 2.5 cm, left 2.5 cm, right 2 cm, bottom 2 cm; single column (except abstract/figures/tables that require width for readability); justified; single-spaced. The manuscript normally contains: Introduction; Method; Results and Discussion; Conclusion and Suggestions; Acknowledgment; References.
  5. The title must be concise and reflect the content of the manuscript.
  6. Authors’ names are written below the title, followed by affiliation and e-mail address.
  7. The abstract (English) represents the manuscript and includes aims/objectives, methods, and key findings.
  8. Reporting standards (recommended): STROBE (observational), SRQR (qualitative), PRISMA (reviews), CARE (case reports), CONSORT (clinical trials).
  9. Keywords: select terms/phrases that are specific and representative of the article.
  10. Style: APA 7th edition.
  11. References should primarily comprise journal and reputable non-journal sources, with recent literature (last six years) emphasized.
  12. Manuscripts must follow the NeuroLingua template.
  13. Submit the file in .doc/.docx via online submission (OJS) after creating an author account.
  14. All authors’ full names and identities must be entered in the submission form by the corresponding author (email, affiliation, and each author’s short bio in the “Bio Statement”).
  15. All correspondence and editorial decisions are conducted through the email provided in the submission system.

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors must ensure compliance with all of the following:

  1. The submission has not been published previously, nor is it under consideration by another journal.
  2. The file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect format.
  3. Where available, URLs/DOIs for references have been provided.
  4. The text is single-spaced; 12-point (or journal template default); italics are used instead of underlining.
  5. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements in these Author Guidelines.
  6. If submitting to a peer-reviewed section, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.
