FORSEC is open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge. Readers are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of the articles without asking prior permission from the publisher or the author, as long as the original work is properly cited.

The journal operates under a Creative Commons Attribution License (CC BY), which permits unrestricted use, distribution, and reproduction in any medium, provided the original author and source are credited.
