Peer Review Process

GreenSharia: Journal of Islamic Economics and Business for Sustainability applies a rigorous peer review process to ensure the quality, originality, and relevance of every published manuscript. Each submitted article will undergo the following stages:

  1. Initial Editorial Screening - The manuscript will be reviewed by the Editor to ensure its relevance to the journal’s focus, scope, and author guidelines. Manuscripts that do not meet the criteria will be returned to the author for revision or rejected at this stage.
  2. Plagiarism Check - All manuscripts are checked using plagiarism detection software. Articles with a high similarity index (beyond the journal’s tolerance) will be rejected or returned for revision.
  3. Double-Blind Peer Review Process - Manuscripts passing the initial screening will be sent to at least two reviewers with expertise in the relevant field.
    • Both the authors’ and reviewers’ identities are kept confidential (double-blind).
    • Reviewers will evaluate scientific quality, research contribution, clarity, and completeness of data.
    • Reviewers may recommend accept without revision, accept with minor/major revision, or reject.
  4. Author Revision - Authors are required to revise their manuscript according to reviewers’ comments and resubmit it within the specified deadline.
  5. Final Decision - by Editor The Editor makes the final decision on manuscript acceptance based on the peer review results and the quality of revisions. Final Editing & Publication Accepted manuscripts will undergo final editing (copyediting and proofreading) before being published online.
